Online data backup has never been as important today, where majority of business transactions are transferred over the internet. Major companies have seen the potential of setting up servers for their client’s data, with which cloud storage has emerged. With security in mind, here are the best cloud servers available in the market today.

Google Cloud Storage. Google’s online storage service is offered in several plans, with 100 gigabytes of storage space priced at US $1.99/month, US $9.99 for 1 terabyte and US $99.99/month for 10 terabytes of data. For free storage, Google also has Google Drive that provides you with free 15 gigabytes of storage space.

Amazon’s Glacier Cloud Storage. This cloud service from Amazon offers storage space for as low as US $0.01/month for a gigabyte of data. Amazon is offering several plans for their cloud service, similar to Google cloud, depending on the plan size.

Dropbox. The free service provides 2 gigabytes of data, but by referring friends you can accumulate as much as 16 gigabytes of free space. You can upgrade your Dropbox account by signing up for the fee based option, Dropbox Pro which offers a 100 GB, 200 GB and 500 GB.

Microsoft OneDrive. This cloud service offers free 7 gigabytes of storage space. An extra 3 GB is made available by activating camera roll backup for your pictures. Referring a maximum of 10 friends can earn a maximum of 5 GB. Annual 50, 100, 200 GB and 1 TB plans are also available.

Mozy. This cloud service provides different fee based plans for Business, Enterprise and Personal users.

Carbonite. Annual plans are available per computer, with unlimited cloud storage per computer.

CrashPlan. This storage service provides free 30 days online backup, with several plans available on a monthly subscription fee, starting at US $5.99/month.

Apple iCloud. Apple’s storage service available for all Apple devices that allows users to share media seamlessly.
