In an attempt to align their services with the ever changing technology, Westpac has announced the release of an application that will allow their clients to access their bank accounts, transfer funds and even locate the nearest ATM using the Google Glass platform, which is set to be released at the end of this year. Another application is also in the works that will allow employees to identify existing clients. Glass, the high tech computer eyewear pioneered by Google is partnering with Luxottica, the makers of Ray-Ban, Oakley, Alain Mikli and Vouge – Eyewear in an attempt to introduce the Glass platform using famous brands to support the emerging smart eyewear market. Google Glass is expected to be released in the United States within the year.
