In an attempt to align their services with the ever changing technology, Westpac has announced the release of an application that will allow their clients to access their bank accounts, transfer funds and even locate the nearest ATM using the Google Glass platform, which is set to be released at the end of this year.
Another application is also in the works that will allow employees to identify existing clients. The Australian bank is working hand in hand with tech provider Pocketbook in exploring applications that can be created in the banking and finance sector.
With mobile banking overtaking desktops over the recent years as smartphone users dominate the market, technology developed for the Google Glass may take off depending on how the market accepts these new gadgets.
