Apple was not spared from a scam that cost them $AU329,237 when a 24 year old used a card transaction trick 42 times. Debit card users in the United States can have rejected transactions overridden with a bank provided code which allows the transaction to push through. Sharron Laverne Parrish Jr successfully pulled off the trick by phoning in Apple and providing the employee the code that was supposedly given by his bank, defrauding the tech giant 42 times, with one store hit twice in 16 states.
